A PROPOSED COMMUNITY AMENITY IN THE
HEART OF EDWARDS, COLORADO
A place to gather, grow, heal and learn.
This amazing project is currently in the initial stages and has just begun the task of raising start up capital. Co-Executive Directors Joe Tomasic and Patricia Esperon are currently raising funds in order to create this truly life changing, healing community center.
The Dandelion Farm is a multifaceted, self-sustaining non-profit entity seeking to provide the Vail Valley with key amenities currently lacking in the area. Its revenue producing components will go to fund the egalitarian projects such as the Mental Health and intellectual and
developmentally disabled work programs,
Free Senior Lunches and Evening Youth Functions.
Please, we need your help and we need your donations.
We are available to speak with you in
person, zoom or phone daily.
Early childhood education is an extremely neglected amenity in our community and The Dandelion Farms aims to correct this.
At the preschool we will have space for approximately
30 to 50 children per day.
The facility is located in the beautiful Dandelions River House
SAFELY near the Eagle River.
It will focus on outdoor recreation and experiential learning in a fun environment by nature.
Centrally located in Edwards with easy drop-off and pick-up.
Open 5 days per week and even when county schools are closed.
The Dandelion Farm's horticultural therapy program along with more traditional methods of counseling are the crown jewel of The Dandelion Farm and the sole reason Trish and Joe felt the need to create this much needed facility.
Unfortunately, far to many of us are affected by someone who suffers from mental illness, addiction, abuse,
failed marriages and many other maladies.
Most people are too proud or too embarrassed to ask for help, especially men of a certain age and those raised in the mentality of being hyper-masculine and not expressing emotion. Joe will focus on helping these gentlemen feel good about reaching out and Trish will be their Emotional Sherpa to help them complete the journey.
Our wedding venue is beautiful and one of the main sources of sustainable income that allow The Dandelion Farm to provide many of the complimentary mental health and
community programs outlined above.
The wedding deck will be positioned on the property near the Eagle River Preserve, offering one of the most beautiful backdrops Eagle County has to offer. Seventy-two acres of open space with breathtaking views of Castle Peak will make your special day one to remember.
A Community Kitchen is a place where individuals or families can come to eat a delicious farm-to-table meal in a warm, welcoming setting and meet our neighbors.
There are no prices on our menu. If you are unable to pay the suggested donation, you may still enjoy a delicious meal.
We invite you to join our community to learn about resources and volunteer opportunities at Joe’s Place.
Joe’s Place will offer work programs for the
differently abled.
Additionally, Joe's Place will have a revenue producing Commercial / Cottage Kitchen where individuals can rent
kitchen space on a case by case basis which is a very new and exciting program taking the country by storm.
The Dandelion Farm is looking to work with Eagle County and the Eagle River Preserve to carve out a small space to utilize for approximately 100 plots available at very affordable or free rates to the public.
The Gardens will be located at the West End of the Dandelion Farm. Currently, Edwards does not have an outdoor meeting space such as a community garden and it is an essential component to bring communities together.
The Dandelion Farm is reaching out to other existing
non-profits that share a similar vision. By working together and splitting expenses all of these community amenities will be able to operate more efficiently and help more people.
